Welcome to the homepage of Dee Miles CPR Instruction. We teach daily classes and provide certification for individuals, Doctors, Nurses, government agencies, businesses, schools and families. We offer a wide range of safety training classes from AED, Heartsaver, BLS, Health Care Provider, CPR & First Aid Classes as well as all the necessary training to fit every need from professional rescuer to the family member.
We offer CPR classes in association with the American Heart Association. Our classes are “hands on” live CPR training and include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adult, child and infants; Rescue breathing techniques, airway obstruction & choking prevention and basic understanding of heart and lung physiology. Students learn how to recognize and treat cardiopulmonary emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes and seizures. We also cover personal protection, & good samaritan laws. Courses include a 2-year student certification card.
Classes are available at our conveniently located training center or on-site at your location.
All classes meet the OSHA guidelines and the 2007 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. (All classes taught by a certified professional instructor.)
1 to 1.5 hours
Instruction on full use of the AED system. Students will become familiar with the proper usage of the AED including hands-on instruction, video instruction and brief coverage of statistics on the use of AED in the field.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
2.5 to 3 hours
Written/Skills Exam: Required for 2 year Card
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.
Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.

2 year Card
The Heartsaver Course is designed to provide lay rescuers and non-healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies with adult, child, and infant victims. Students will learn how to provide CPR, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Non-healthcare professionals such as lifeguards, personal trainers, teachers, general office personnel or any individual seeking CPR Training.
Heartsaver First Aid
3.5 to 4 hours
2 year Card
The Heartsaver First Aid course includes all material taught in the Heartsaver Course plus First Aid which also includes General Principles of First Aid, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies and Environmental Emergencies. Some rescuers are required to take the course as part of their employer's effort to comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) regulations.
All personnel listed in the Hearsaver course description (above) plus Daycare professionals, Foster parents, Adoptive parents, etc.

Class schedules are made up as needed and may vary from day to day. Typical class schedules are morning, afternoon, and evening. Call for specific times available for that day.
Days of operation are Monday thru Friday. (Saturday classes require special scheduling)
